Project teams often try to understand the amount of progress between 2 dates and also sort out vendor claims - usually through an onerous and time consuming process of sorting out photos taken manually and stored in various folders.

Timeline Compare feature on the ConstructN platform allows teams to view site captures on two different dates easily - letting project teams to visually compare the status of construction progress at any particular location between any two different captured dates.

To check and compare

  • Select your desired project on the platform. This takes you to the ‘Views’ page.

  • Select the Floor Level or Area of Interest from the ‘Hierarchy’ available at the left bottom of the screen.

  • You will find yourself in the Design view of the selected space.

Click on the ‘Reality’ button which takes you to the Reality view of the most recent capture by default.

  • Now click on the ‘Compare Reality’ button under ‘Compare Views’ at the top right of the screen. This splits the screen into two, each showing the reality of the latest two capture dates.

  • You can see the dates in comparison at the bottom of each split screen.

  • Click on the date to open the Capture Calendar from where you can select any capture date of your choice for comparison. Please note that the highlighted dates on the capture calendar represent the dates on which the captures were done and uploaded to ConstructN.

  • Now, you can navigate to any location on site and check the progress between the two capture dates. You can also virtually walk around the site from your location and check for progress simultaneously while the platform maintains the same context for both the dates for you to compare easily.

Once you've finished comparing, you can exit the Comparison View by clicking on the ‘Hide Compare’ button under ‘Compare Views’ at the top right of the screen.
